How to check your NECO result online

2026 SSCE Internal (June/July) results are out. NECO announced them on 24 September 2026 — 58.67% of candidates got five credits including English and Mathematics. Select exam year 2026 and exam type SSCE Internal when you check.
To check your NECO result, go to the official portal at results.neco.gov.ng, choose your exam year and type, then enter your 12-digit token and registration number (10 digits + 2 letters on 2026 slips). Each token works for up to 5 checks of one candidate’s result.
A NECO token is the digital replacement for the old scratch card — a unique 12-digit code that unlocks a candidate’s result on the portal. You need one before you can view or print your result. Buy a token here if you don’t have one yet.
Method 1 — Check NECO result on the portal
- Open results.neco.gov.ng.
- Select your exam year (e.g. 2026).
- Select your exam type — SSCE Internal (June/July), SSCE External/GCE (Nov/Dec), or BECE.
- Enter your 12-digit token.
- Enter your registration number — 10 digits then 2 letters on 2026 slips (e.g. 2612345678AB); older slips have 8 digits + 2 letters.
- Click Check Result to view your subjects and grades, then download or print.

Can you check by SMS?
Not through any channel NECO lists. As of 26 October 2026, NECO’s own sites describe only the results portal; the old 32327 short code is not on them, so don’t text your token to it. See what we know about NECO SMS checking.
What is a NECO token and how do I get one?
The token (also called the result-checker PIN) is a 12-digit code tied to one registration number and usable up to 5 times. NECO retired physical scratch cards in favour of these digital tokens.
