NECO result not showing or “not found”? Here’s how to fix it

If your NECO result won’t show, the cause is almost always a mismatch in your token, registration number, exam type or year. Re-check each field against the list below before assuming the result is unavailable.

Checklist of common fixes

Problem	Fix
“Invalid token”	Re-type the 12-digit token; no spaces; confirm it isn’t used up (max 5 checks). Make sure you typed the token, not the serial number that came with it.
“Token limit exceeded”	The result was already opened with another token (school, café, relative). NECO locks a result to its first token; ask whoever checked it first — your token is still unused for another candidate.
Wrong exam year or type	For 2026 June/July candidates pick exam year 2026 and SSCE Internal. Any other combination rejects a valid token.
“Candidate not found”	Check the registration number — 10 digits + 2 letters (older slips: 8 digits + 2 letters), exactly as on the slip.
Wrong subjects/grades	You likely picked the wrong exam type or year. Reselect.
Page won’t load	Try another browser or network; the portal can be busy near release dates.
Result withheld/blank	May be released in batches or under review — retry later or contact NECO.
